Today for lunch I had a bowl of sprouts with bacon lardons and garlic oil ..... Mrs W thought I was weird !

Pan-fried asparagus in honey. As far as I'm aware, I invented this and it's been universally well-received by friends and family.

Sprouts & bacon together are delicious. Par boil the sprouts & then fry with lardons for a couple of minutes. There's nothing weird about that.

I am with you on 2 excluding the lambs brains but I also like baked beans on fried bread rather than toast.

Wife likes cheese and jam sandwiches combined although she likes both individually.

I think his point is that it constitutes a slightly unusual snack, as opposed to part of a bigger meal :)

I pigging love Calamari !!

On a cricket tour in Cape Town 10 years ago, I ate Calamari every day.
Last night, popped out with Mrs SS for some munchies - ended up in Bella Italia - for my main, I had a double Calamari starter ....
Snack lunch today - small bowl of ...... Calamari

Fecking gorgeous !!

Wife found a packet in the freezer from last Christmas so going to use them with the Roast Beef tomorrow just hope they are ok, they should be.
I found a PACKET in my wallet from. 2 weeks ago I was chuffed !
