The thread was supposed to be beach, not beached, but I guess they are on one...that is a very sad photo, they look like pilot whales to me, which is slightly ironic given their apparent lack of direction...but not really a whale spotter so I might be wrong there.

I went there in the summer of 87, the place was almost deserted...maybe 20-30 people on the whole beach...there had been no development at all, just a cafe at one end and a bar at the other, it really was idyllic.

We went there a bit earlier and the sewage from the town was pumped into the bay - and you took your life in your hands swimming from the beach. Sounds like those are all problems from the past now. That photo is well and truly photo-shopped though.

Some big clues in the pic. The beach isn't classically sandy, but we spent one of the most memorable evenings here a few years back. Arrived by fishing boat (very hard to get to the bay by road) and ate and drank as the sun set, watching our kids playing with others around the jetty and along the beach - looking for shells and pretty stones. Pissed and deliriously happy, back on the fishing boat to our villa. Couldn't recommend this area more highly, but where is it?

Is it not written on the boat?
