I don’t know much about the others but Band X was jazz fusion type band with Phil Collins as the drummer. Didn’t know they turned in to another band.

The Brit version of Weather Report with PhilCollins was BRAND X not BAND X, try again.

They have had squillions of albums out since 1969 and are still going (albeit with only one original member)

OK further clue, Band X had their only hit in 1972; this financed a Tour which was recorded and became their most famous Album (and their best IMO).
