I live in central america and my dentist was telling me that it is true about us (actually Europeans in general) having bad teeth. Apparently this is because we don't floss whereas, the Americans do. Maybe folklore but thats what they say.
i have to say flossing does fall into that "know you should do it but seldom get round to it cos its a freakin chew".
Here in Honduras dental hygiene consists of how many of your own teeth you still have by the age of 14.............bit like south croydon come to think of it.
