Simple question...

If I could promise you either -

A: A guaranteed top 4 spot at the end of this coming season - not promising which spot, just that we'd finish in the top 4, so a 50% chance of auto promotion and failing that, a play off semi final.

or

B: Doing the double over Palace this coming season. 6 points. Again, no promises as to HOW we manage it (could be 5-0 and 3-1, could be 1-0 and 2-1 while totally outplayed in both cases).

Which would you take?

Why would anyone rather beat Palace than finish in the top 4? That is odd.

I'd be happy to lose 10-0 to them in both games but get promoted.

both..... but of the two, a top 4 spot as its much harder to achieve than the double over Palace

Top 4. Let them be the team that is noddy enough to have to cling to a solitary victory over a much better league position. Thatvis just how far we have come!

More one sided than I expected - good old TCB, though.

Perhaps I should've made it Top 6.

10-0, could you really imagine the trolling meltdown on NSC and the never ending gleefull chavs from Croydon. I would sooner have a top 4 than a palace double, but I think I'd sooner forfeit a top 4 rather than losing 10-0 to them cnuts (not that its going to happen)

Definitely the Palace option for me.

I'm not too fussed about getting promotion or finishing in the top six, but the one thing that does really hack me off is that The Amex has not yet witnessed a TROUNCING of Palace. I'm sure it will do in time, but I'll take the guarantee of that being this season please.

Ooh, controversial

Completely agree. Beating Palace is sweeter than beating anyone else but we don't get any more points for it. In that sense they are just another team to be beaten!

Really? Claiming my priority is beating our main rivals twice, when we've only ever managed it once in my life, should not be a controversial statement!

But then we haven't reached the Premiership THAT often in your lifetime either.

I know, I know, you're not fussed...

I said pretty much this to a palace fan last weekend. He was having none of it. Small-time teams compare themselves to their rivals, if Albion do well I couldn't care less about Palace

Absolutely Top 4. If Palace want to use the fact they took 1, 3, 4 or even 6 points off us as a comeback while we're above them and in the play-offs/Premiership then good for them - but it won't win the argument...
