GTA IV First Impressions

Housemate has blagged himself a pirate copy for his 360 and MAN does it look SWEET.

Amazing graphics, more realistic car handling and you can now go bowling (take that Wii).

Definitely gonna have to get me an Xbox 360 again now, especially seeing as the price has dropped.

i think im in the minority regarding GTA ive owned pretty much every game, mainly cos of the hype and good reviews, and just never really got it. the graphics are shit the animation is jerky and its just go see that king pin and go kill someone then go jump in a car etc etc

yeh the wandering around is pretty cool but thats about it. i will probably get it though cos of the hype and not finish it as usual.

im obviously missing something i just dont know what it is

Its meant to have options for either manual/auto aim.

Haven't found any guns yet to try it out but a little aiming circle does pop up when you hold the trigger.

The slow motion camera mode is SO cool

Multiplayer sounds like good fun with various different modes. Deathmatch is based on kills and cash.

If you can get to your local Woolies store for opening time on Tuesday, you SHOULD be able to buy one without having pre-ordered, as I understand that all stores will have some copies of the game on each format available for general sale.

I doubt that anywhere, particularly smaller branches, will have very many, and you'll more than likely not be able to ring up and get them to put you one by, as it's meant to be done entirely first come, first served on Tuesday.

I know that Tesco put new releases out on Fridays and occasionaly get it wrong when they are supposed to be midweek.
So I went to Tesco Horley only to see them taking copies off the shelves PS3 and xbox it was only spotted by a pesky security guard. I may try to pick it up Tuesday on way to work, though they're asking £45

the best way to beat the pre-order mayhem is to ignore it. what, are you 8 and have to have the best toy in the playground at lunch time? wait a day or three and all the shops will have re-stocked.

for me im just going to wait for the PS3+GTA package to come out as i have to buy a console to play it on anyway. £300 for one game... is so definatly worth it, ive just fired up San Andreas, its so much fun.
