Saw Arsenal v Independentie (Argentina) in Miami in 1989. Arsenal won 2-0 I think from memory. It was the league champs team so good team, but around 4k fans in a stadium that seats 80k made for a really shit atmosphere.
Camp Nou, Barcelona - just a tour
Maracana, Rio - Flamengo v Corinthians
Sparta Prague - just a tour
Slavia Prague - v can't remember
Las Palmas, Gran Canaria - v Real Madrid
Monaco - v Troyes
Olympic Park, Melbourne - Australia v Brazil
The "Jules Ottenstadion" the ground of Belgian team K.A.A. Ghent is about 20 mins. walk for me. It's an old uninspiring stadium with only 13,000 capacity. For a city of nearly 250,000 that's pretty poor. The problem is that there are a great number of Anderlecht and Club Brugge supporters here, it's very sad! They are building a new stadium on the other side of town with a 20,000 capacity. They do play in BHA colours though.
A few years ago I turned down the chance to go to the bullfighting and went to see Espanyol play Real Madrid (complete with David beckham) at the Olympic Stadium.
Espanyol play in blue and white stripes so I felt rather at home. Even more so when, amazingly, the first non-home team shirt I saw in the stadium was a Skint era Albion one!
On a previous trip I went to the Camp Nou and saw Barca tonk Zaragosa 3-0 with Ronaldinho in fine form. My abiding memory is how different the atmosphere is - particularly when a goal is scored.
