I thought he was excellent last night and must admit that I did like him in that midfield 3 role. Would like to see this retained with him playing alongside Stephens & Propper for our next 2 home games and inject the pace of both Izquierdo and Locadia playing off of Murray. Especially with Knocky being banned.

They are all very good, but the top right hand corner is exceptional.

He creates room for a cross where there is none. Simply outstanding.

That'll be Jesse Lingard who was made to look bang average.

According to The Daily Mail (won't inc the link!) here are the highlights of his latest contract:-

Jesse Lingard has agreed terms with Manchester United, as Sportsmail revealed
Winger's new four-year contract will include a basic salary of £75,000-a-week
That will rise to £100,000-a-week if United qualify for the Champions League
Lingard joined United's academy aged seven and is now a first-team regular.

£100,000 a week doesn't buy what it used too.

Yes, shame he keeps appearing on the tele for all othrs to see. His record for this and previous seasons make him a key player in the world of football stats and will no doubt make him a target around Europe at the end of the season. He must be the best value buy in Premier League history. If we can’t keep him then we will make one hell of a profit on him.

i think you will find he's not for sale until the end of next season .....

Two more victims of the Gross turn last night. Vertonghen didn't know what the feck was happening.

Knockaert doesn't seem too sure either.

I can genuinely watch that for hours.

As I said last night, he executes the Cruyff turn better than Cruyff himself ever could.

We are truly blessed to get to watch Pascal every week.

I'm glad you wrote that as I was certainly thinking it but couldn't bring himself to write it down.

Gross spins you right round, pascal right round
what a player wow, right round, round round

We could sign that just before he does a turn, and he'd still send the opposition the wrong way.

I am genuinely still fascinated by him doing this. I don't know if it's a trick of the eye or something but he just seems to do it so slowly that I don't understand how defenders get caught out by it every time but they do. It is mesmerising.

I love him, Germany must have a lot of excellent midfielders if he isn't even close to getting in their squad. Am I just being completely blinkered by saying that I would rather have Gross in our side than Ozil?

Ozil is a sulky sack of shite and wouldn't give a single shit about playing for the albion. He is by far the more talented of the two, but exactly the sort of player you don't want at your club.
