Shelvey might be SLIGHTLY cheaper fee wise (though is English which carries a premium) but his wages must be astronomically higher than our guys like Gross and Propper. Maybe 80k rather than 40k as a complete guess?

That adds up to a fair chunk over the course of 3 years and also has other budget complications as teams can only increase their wage bill by a certain amount each season in the EPL.

I would think a bottom 12 club would be more interested in Jonjo Shelvey as he is more in the limelight and would cost less than we paid for Propper or Izquierdo but possibly more than we paid for Gross.

Less than £10m? I doubt it.

Best description of his one trick I have heard. Amazes me how it works every time. Just creates enough space to get a cross in. Despite being the slowest attacking player in the league. Or is that Murray. Hmm, I'd like a race between those two arranged please.

Doesn't Shelvey only play half a season though as he's either red carded or banned for half a season? he does make a difference when he plays but a loose cannon.

It works every time because he will do it onto either foot to get a cross in. I've noticed him go both to his left and right using it. Very clever player.
