Keep the Grid girls and do away with the cars. Let's see who can get round the circuit quickest piggy backed on a leggy blonde.

I already asked this question, I asked for clarification on movies, music, modeling. Nobody replied because they haven't got a clue and don't want to talk themselves into a corner.

Hey The Viper. That's funny you mention people not replying because I've asked you a few questions in the past and have never heard a peep back from you.
You made a, I guess in your mind, 'clever' quip about sex case Roy Moore. You seemed to cast doubt on him being a kiddy fiddler.

Wonder if you ever came to any conclusion on that after all the reading you said you did. Maybe you'd like to answer that now, considering how important you seem to think it is to get clarification.

Brighton factually.....
Oh **** off would you.

HUMANS endure horrors of the world each day.

Go to your local war memorial and tell me the % of male to female names of the deceased.

This whole narrative of women being some bunch of super victims is tiring.

It's wearing thin with a lot of women too.

Where did I say were women are super victims, I suggest your part of the problem if it’s getting tiring.
Try putting up with sexist remarks and attitudes every day, at work, home, media and socially. I am no feminist fundamentalist by any stretch of the imagination. I just think attitudes should change with the times regarding everything from race, women, religion the whole thing is wrong, and half clad women have no relevance whatsoever with certain things like car racing, other than manipulation of women and men in that they think that appealing to your basic instinct like the old Cadbury’s flake advert selling chocolate.... Come on who eats chocolate in a bath.... if they do their not probably size eight are they.

We have clashed before, and last time you told me to feck off, if you don’t agree and think your right fine, you might change my mind, but when you tell someone to feck you ain’t gonna gain any respect.

Looks back to the late 60's and most drivers wives were a key part of an F1 team, timing and logging all the details whilst watching their husbands try and win the spoils and not die in the process.

Pit lane Patsies, as they were referred to back then, were a lot more intelligent and resilient than most modern F1 drivers, and many were top totty too. . . IMG_0019.JPG

I've had the fortune to share the grid with Sir Stirling Moss at Goodwood in the past, he's as red blooded a male as you'll ever meet, and a true gentleman with it. Just from a different era.

I think we should now be looking to ban those awful 80s videos like that despicable one from Duran Duran, Girls on Film. What on earth were they thinking ? Awful !

Nobody stuck their noses into anybody elses business. Nobody banned the girls, or had demonstrations to get the girls banned.

'Grid girls' will no longer be used by Formula 1 from the start of the 2018 World Championship season.

Sean Bratches, managing director of commercial operations, said the change would be made "so as to be more in tune with our vision for this great sport".

"While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms," Bratches added.

This has literally nothing to do with protecting Grid Girls from sexism. Why are so many people struggling to understand this? This is not about these individual women, of course they have chosen to do this, Bernie Ecclestone is not rounding up women to stand next to F1 cars against their will.

The issue here and in the darts case is that impressionable viewers/spectators are led to believe that all women can aspire to is to look pretty and stand next to a successful man. That is why this outmoded practice is finally ending. If you cannot understand this then you are a bit of thicket, imo.
absolutely this - I feel sorry if any of the affected females do really enjoy their jobs but this is not about people being offended on their behalf but instead offended at the way sports and, to a wider degree, society treat women as adornments or decorations and also the impression this passes on to children.

'At odds with modern day societal norms.' Finally, a worthy successor to 'We're Loose' on the NSC masthead. Failing that 'NSC, It's Just Like Living in the 1950s'

I'd suggest you have absolutely no idea whether they enjoy their jobs or not. It just suits you to assume that they do.

Yeah and the three or four women that called into LBC who were pretty pissed off about losing their jobs and not being consulted would agree with you!!

It will be interesting where this all ends up. The F1 girls and the darts walk on girls were there to sell a product....according to the promoters. I assume now that using pretty girls to promote something will be frowned upon....maybe even cheerleaders as they are nothing to do with a game but there for " decoration"

We have NFL over here at the moment...are they going to ban their cheerleaders?

I think the end goal of all this is that EVERYONE is the same if you are attractive you cannot be allowed to have this as an advantage to do things others can not

"As of 2016, six NFL teams do not have cheerleading squads: Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and the Pittsburgh Steelers."
