[News] Greta 1 v 0 Tate

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
I literally couldn’t care less, what annoys me is the double standards when people don’t like an individual, same as his arrest, everyone assumes his guilt because they don’t like him, despite the fact it word normally be libellous to assume someone is a rapist or a people trafficker.

I detest the blame and his online following, but I also am not a fan of Thunberg, she started out wanting to do good but has become very extreme in her views.

All she did by replying to his comment, was send more ‘traffic’ his way and thus more attention, exactly what he wants.

I’m literally asking you, if that were the case, and she called him out in some childish way as he did, would him replying with some insult that targets women be acceptable?
You literally couldn't care less but keep on trying not to care about it.

How has GT got more extreme in her view? Can you link to a particular link where she mentioned something and then got more extreme in her description or her actions?

I suspect, you have a strong bias, either conscious or uncoscious.

As for Tate, he is already known to peddle porn. There are 6 victims already giving evidence about him, his brother Tristan and two others, all of whom have been put into prison by a court. Hopefully charges will follow, and a trial.
I also hope Britain deport him back to the USA.
Yes, I am biased, because all the evidence so far points to a narcisstic egotistical man who uses people, and a teenage girl who is pointing out how the planet is being made unlivable.
Happy with sewage in the rivers? Happy with bees being killed by insecticide? Make your mind up.

what should annoy you is the things that do and don't annoy you.

#1. everyone assumes his guilt because he has been arrested
#2. explain gt's very extreme views.
#3. attention from the police is not, "exactly what he wants."
objectivety

Exactly my point. Can I ask, had Greta mentioned Tate first and started it, would it have been okay for Tate to reply with an insulting remark?

The double standards are always so amusing.
Almost impossible for any Woman to "start" a row with this guy, he has said plenty in the past that warrant a put down.
But, if she had weighed in randomly on someone like Angelina Jolie who campaigns against child Iabour amongst other things, with pics of her latest sweat shop produced designer trainers, absofuckinglutely it would be appropriate for her to get a response suggesting she was malnourished and needed to eat some red meat, or other comment mocking something she finds important to her.

It depends on the dynamic. If it was some late 30 year old woman full of hate towards the opposite sex who out of the blue targeted a teenage boy - then yes it would be.

Alleged being the operative word there, it’s funny how people assume guilt when they already have a pre formed opinion of a person.

Like I’ve said many times in this thread, Tate is an outspoken twat, but people who are so hilariously amused by a fake email address must be utterly braindead, it’s so unfunny it’s almost actually funny.

She could have retorted with science and composure and retained credibility, instead she made a personal jibe, which if Tate made a similar personal jibe would be condemned, doesn’t matter who started it.
He asked for her email, she made up a funny one, sorry you didn't get the joke/have a small penis/hate Greta/don't believe in Climate Change or whatever it is that is blinding you to the obvious.

I don't have any problem with most of Gretas views and wouldn't have a problem if she had "extreme views" either as I find "normal views" these days usually quite extreme in one direction or another...

My problem with Greta is more related to how she is managed and funded. She's used as a tool to get governments to sell their dirtier energy sources to private hands who will then profit from eg some kind of energy crisis, if such a thing would ever happen... Not sure how aware she is about it.

I had never heard of this but would hazard a guess that if you are aware of something then a well connected environmental activist will be similarly aware of any such danger.

And your evidence for that is....?

Depends. Greta used a term which has transcended the literal meaning of the words she put together. We all know what she meant, and it’s not that he literally has a small penis. I can’t think of a similar term in the other direction given the context and meaning. But if you suggest one I’m happy to judge.

Greta Thunbergs close cooperation and relation to Luisa Neubauer, who is a youth ambassador in several climate-NGOs funded by a high-profile billionaire who likes to buy dirty energy sources cheaply from governments. Very clever stuff really: climate NGOs creating public pressure for governments to sell their dirty shit to the NGO funder who then profits from the dirty energy. Almost as clever as breaking the bank of England back in 92 to make a(nother) fortune out of it.

Neubauer the climate activist? No shit her and Greta are associated. They share the same cause.

She has, however, renounced a lot of her previous "access".

(She is) quite candid about the campaigning that doesn’t work. At the start, says Neubauer, “I was doing something which I would now retrospectively call ‘handshake activism’. It is this kind of activism that looks very, very good on your CV. It is something that you might be very dedicated to, but you’re also very keen to meet an important minister, to shake their hand and take a photo and prove that you’ve actually done something.”

And actively set up a backlash against fossil fuel in Germany.

And who silenced anyone elses voices who dared have a different opinion to them.

Kinda like all the other nasty little regimes who followed a similar path.

Something psychotic about people who wish to silence others voices isn't there.
Says the poster who spends most of his time attacking everyone and everything.

I'm betting she wasn't.

I was working as a brickies labourer at 15 onwards every school holidays.

I don't think our little Swedish hand puppet has done a hard days work of physical labour in her life.

We're not talking about some poor under privileged kid here, her parents are well off so let's not pretend she was doing it tough in her teens.
And I joined the arm forces at 16 .. maybe we should have both worked a bit f***ing harder when we were at school.

By your logic my son is wasting his time on his physical chemistry PhD as he’s a lazy git because he’s only using his brain rather than his brawn.

you sound very, very bitter.

Yes, which is just what I said.

To explain it again:

There are state-owned energy companies running coal mines in various places of the world, and there are privately owned coal mines in various places.

Some of those who privately own coal companies might do like this: create and/or fund some NGO that says "stop the coal mines!", public pressure will be created and governments are then likely to say "our energy companies are shouldn't be dealing/creating dirty coal".

This results
1. Shut down coal mines. Unfortunately they will still have to import it (from private companies) now when they can mine it themselves.
2. Sell coal mines. Governments doesn't want the moral issue of producing coal... but if they can get some good money for letting someone else do it, nice. But they'll be in a shite position to negotiate, so of course would have to offload their coal plants cheaply.

Meaning that the blokes who both own coal mines and fund anti-coal mine organisations can now either export their dirty coal to Germany for a lot of money, and/or they can buy cheap coal mines from for example German state-owned energy companies.

So yeah - the backlash is very much intended.

I understand what you’re saying. What I asked you is where is your proof? You’ve provided theory and opinion
