Well exactly. What kind of weirdo goes into Maccys for breakfast and doesn't get a Sausage and Egg.
You two couldn't be more wrong, but all academic anyway.

I hadn't accounted for one small problem, that being McDonald's absolutely rammed at 09:45 on a Friday morning.

So I cycled a few hundred yards up the road for croissant and a festive mint mocha.

Never liked things like steak slices / pastries . Nothing worse than boiling hot juice burning your chin!

Greggs is like the MCDonalds of bakeries , why do people fall for it !

Before anyone says because it’s cheap, it isn’t particularly.

What does that make Pret then? For me, that's overpriced way more than Greggs. They haven't changed menu in years, except to remove the good stuff and replace it with yet another thing containing avocado, their coffee is terrible and the bread used in their "posh" cheese and pickle has twice given me a terrible stomach ache (I'm not gluten intolerant). Plus they have a very average record when it comes to labelling allergens. There are four of the places near my office and it's always so depressing when a colleague tags along for lunch and then says "shall we grab a Pret?". No. f*** off.

Sausage & Egg McMuffin or Bacon & Egg McMuffin?

Just have both...

(I walk/run by a bus stop with a massive picture of the Mighty McMuffin on it and, even as a vegetarian, I feel like I want one)

If I'd seen that yesterday I deffo would have waddled into Maccy's and joined the stupidly long queue.

I know it used to be such a fine establishment.
I'm happy to believe this, I know a lot of people seem to like it, but I always thought (presumably incorrectly) that it was just crap food. And I do love a good quality sausage roll or pie.

Irving Finkel, curator in charge of cuneiform clay tablets at the British Museum, poses with the 4000 year old Greggs Katsu Pasty containing the story of the Ark and the flood, that claims the Ark was actually round
and tastes much better than the current version which is full of animal protein slurry.

They know the profile of their customers.

Give me a traditional Greasy Spoon every day - well clearly not EVERY day or I would be in Cardiac Arrest... :lolol:

Not that one, but wouldn't have surprised me if it was.

Have Macdonald's bitten off more than they can chew?
Do their patrons actually care?
Haven’t been in there for years but heard loads of people locally moaning about it, and plenty are fed up with the lazy twats who can’t be arsed to park their cars and walk 20 yards into the place and would rather block the nearby roundabout waiting in the drive-thru queue. From what I’ve heard one of the issues if the sheer number of delivery orders through Deliveroo etc they are dealing with and presumably prioritise……🤷‍♂️
