Sadly, I don’t know about that. My teenage daughter the subject of middle age pervy staff (managers) at a well known supermarket. So much hasn’t changed. An interesting thread on the Everton forum about the same subject really, some say it’s now getting worse …. possible reasons; the likes of Tate encouraging manhood, cocaine, the Incel thing, internet porn giving the impression to blokes that all women are objects.

Don’t think it’s getting worse . The newer generation will call out any type of what they deem pervy . Which is good but it can get mistaken when someone just having a laugh or being friendly .
Also regarding the comments of if happened in workplace place would be fired . Depends where work . I work in an office where the women are probably worse than the men with the banter . Building sites etc think it’s still how it used to be .

Agree large corporate companies have had to be seen to be tightening up on things and rightly so in a lot of instances

I don't think the media back and forth between Wallace and the accusers is helping anyone (or himself, for that matter).

We don't know what actually happened in any real detail just yet and I suspect he's better served shutting the heck up. His comments so far don't paint him in the most positive light. Whatever you think of him as a host, these allegations likely haven't come out of nowhere.

The reason why it may be that older women are the ones speaking out is that,

a) they may no longer be working in that industry so don't fear being blackballed.

B) they have have grown their career to a point they don't fear it

C) may have met people intervening years who have had similar experiences

It doesn't mean their age or class bracket is why they took offence.

I know of many women who have been treated in similar ways who if it happened at a later point in their life or career would have reacted differently to how they did when they were younger. That is largely because the fear of repercussions has passed for the reasons I've given above
