Look at the way Stanley Johnson treated her mother.
Quite.

Unfortunately having been to a public school I see the way women and girls are treated, and accepting of that treatment. Very much their “place in the world”. And they just jolly well get on with it.

Not exclusive to the upper classes, obviously.

some grotesque movement that demands obedience to their worldview, a movement which has absolutely no tolerance for questioning of their values. As Tim Minchin so succinctly put it "we progressives have turned into c***s".
Let's face it, if there are people demanding obedience to their own world view with no tolerance for questioning their values, they're pretty obviously not succeeding in their aims.

And if Tim Minchin wants to identify himself and his own associates as a ****s, then that's his lookout, but I'll take it as advice to safely ignore his opinions.

Some women are worse to women than men, especially those who are paid to have an ‘opinion’.
Seen this many times. In my last job the functional Executive Committee I was majority female and led by a woman. Some of the interactions between females were awful………victimisation, bullying and long term bearing of grudges between certain female individuals often made life (work) difficult for the rest of us.

One of my female colleagues was treated so badly by her 'senior' female colleagues she has left her job. She called it 'women punching down'. An extremely talented researcher and gifted teacher, now progressing her career at a different London university.

Wallace just needs to play the huw Edward’s mentally suffering card

Then the board will be fully behind him

So interesting a lot of opinion on here and how it differs so much to speaking to men and women in person
It certainly worked for the nonce Edwards and got him a ridiculously short non-custodial sentence. I have little doubt Wallace will be playing his "I've got mental health" card before too long.

The Johnson article sites that he used to say to regular customers on his veg stall “it’s not like your husbands’ love, it won’t get bigger the more you handle it”.

Probably fine to say to regular customer, Maureen as she’s getting her veg for the day, across a busy market, bit cheeky, gives her a laugh. He probably said it to her every time he saw her. Whatever. Rolls eyes.

Now, if he’d leant across the marrows and whispered into Maureen’s ear “and how’s about licking my arsehole out while your about it, Maureen”? Different territory.

Keep up at the back... the sentencing was in-line with guidelines and similar to other offenders sentences. He has come out with the MH card, he was sexually assaulted as a kid...

You are rightly judging the press and their handling of the complaints but then trying to decry the actual complaints as woke.
The definition of woke is alert to injustice.

How can injustice be a bad thing? Women have made complaints over 12 years and nobody has listened, or their complaints have just been dismissed.
It always bewilders me when these terms which portray a positive characteristic are used as a term of derision or ridicule, like 'do gooder".... which implies that it's a negative trait to want to do good.

For most people, innocent until proven guilty does not mean that we won't believe victims until something's been through court. That's just weird. Such a blinkered view would also have you believing many world tyrants are innocent, since they weren't tried in court.
Being found innocent does not mean you are not guilty, it just means that you have gone through a system of testing the evidence of the claim against you. I would be happy with the slogan listen to the accuser, but believe the victim is essentially saying guilty until proven innocent, which I will never support. As I stated the court system is far from perfect, but if you then require the defendant to prove their innocence it gets far worse. The very statement that you make "does not mean we won't believe the victims until something has been through court" is essentially you saying you agree with guilty until proven innocent, even if that is not what you think it most certainly is the result of such a statement.
