No, I won't, in the same way that the old days went way too far and needed some correction, what is going on today is almost the polar opposite. The idea of a Non Crime Hate Incident is nuts. Tearing down statues rather than expanding on the history of the person eg Captain Cook tell the story "one of the best explorers and navigators in western history, but also a complete twat who by his arrogance got himself cooked and eaten". Censorship and intolerant demands for political correctness are not the answer.

This is not about Captain Cook. It's about 13 women who complained about Wallace's behaviour. Thirteen. Their voices need to be heard.

Let’s be honest, if he worked for ITV this would be getting a fraction of the coverage. The desperation of the rest of the media landscape to lob grenades at the BBC and those associated with them at every opportunity will cause anything like this to be immediately blown up into mass hysteria.

This is an incredibly confused post. I've no idea what the allegations have to with non hate crimes or statues.

This is workplace behaivour issues that have dealt with on a daily basis before anyone even thought of the term "woke".

What's different in modern day production is that it's often made by third parties where all the employees are freelances who come and go or "talent" that appears as guests.

Because you don't get that continuation of staff, evidence often leaves by the revolving door.

As difficult it is to makes a complaint when you are permanently employed, it's far more difficult to make one if you after the next job.

They complained of bullying and harassment which is a crime. Once one had the courage to speak out, then others felt empowered to say what had happened to them.
Rather than wanting to ‘stone’ him, they want to prevent others from being treated the same way. It also sends a message to those who turn a blind eye or a deaf ear.

Well I thought your post was confused. Not sure how linking captain Cook to ‘wallace being a prick in the work place’ brings anything to the discussion. If you are trying say that the same people who pulled down statues are the ones who are going after Wallace, then you are wrong. I’ve never pulled down a statue but do think Wallace is a prick and his behaviour isn’t acceptable in the work place.

I've never watched the programme and know nothing of the individual concerned. But to some people, they think fame gives them an entitlement to abuse their position, we're seen it over and over again. People are scared to call them out.

The Beeb should suspend the programme until investigations are concluded.
