Green Party appoints a new leader

The Green Party has appointed a 51-year-old city councillor as one of its two leaders. Brighton councillor Keith Taylor replaces Dr Mike Woodin, who died last month of cancer at the age of 38.

The party always has one man and one woman sharing its top post and Mr Taylor will join Caroline Lucas MEP as principal. He is a former businessman and leader of the Green council group on Brighton's city council.

The party says Mr Taylor been instrumental in making Brighton the third strongest local authority Green group in Britain after Lancaster and Oxford.

saafend. The Greens may actually get a seat here. The Hanover Museli Grip vote Green at vitually every election.

Hence why he has become thier joint leader.

I knew Keith Taylor as a business man, driving an old truck and bringing Belgium beers back to sell to pubs in Hanover and elsewhere. A real high flyer!!!
Anti Falmer, anti this, anti that, tried to buy some beers for the Hanover Beer Festival once, seemed to be anti business as we didn't get any. Typical politician.

Is Keith Taylor anti-Falmer ?

Can anybody confirm please ?

Best bet is not to piss off politicians !

Best bet is to influence then. When are you gonna wake up ?

And that goes for Ian Hart as well. Not pissing off politicans as well.

Well, I must be in a good mood

Good bloke, fairly.

Used to serve him when he frequented the Greys. Not a bad word to say.

High up on the South Downs.
As an environmentalist and an occasional bird watcher, can I just say that the Green Party are a bunch of puritanical, middle class, elitist, right-on tussers.

Thank you.

What's always struck me about Keith Taylor is how quiet he's been about Falmer.

His line is rarely more animated than a statement to the effect that "We'll accept the outcome of the planning process".

Seems fair enough to me.

He's very anti-Falmer. As confirmed by his Withdean-expanding, Falmer-rejecting, Prescott-slating quotes contained in yesterday's Argus feature on Falmer as a "political football". Backing Baker, argued against by Bassam. Included in analysis of whether the Falmer vote actually could carry. . .
