I really like Green day, didn't get tickets for the gig though. American idiot is good and has some great tracks on it but I probably prefer there older stuff.

Lots of interaction with the audience, including at one stage getting three people out of the crowd, and one ended up on drums, one on bass and a 12 year old on guitar. Green Day then showed them how to play the chords, while Billy Joe sang the vocals. Billy then gave the kid his guitar, which left him speechless.
Mexican waves, lighters, water pistols, costumes, fireworks, it was all there. Not sure what Joe Strummer would have made of it, but harmless fun for the kids, have never seen my son so animated so no complaints from me
