Apparently Piers Morgan was born in Newick.

There must be lots of more worthy gentlemen born in Sussex.

It's a very sparse list, as far as global reach goes we seem to be left with Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, neither has benefited mankind in any meaningful way. Apart from earning themselves lots of money. Sorry, Mrs Cowell.
Sussex nowadays does not appear to encourage true greatness in the offspring of local people, maybe they have all been squeezed out by JCL's and people DFL.
