How did you explain 'smack my bitch up'?
That was quite simple! I skipped it & said that the lyrics are completely wrong!
I've said the same about some Eminem tracks after showing off my rapping skills to 'The Real Slim Shady' & 'Toy Soldiers'. Eminem really needed parental guidance but I introduced him to it. You can use the lyrics to 'Lose Yourself' as motivation. Watching '8 Mile' was far more embarrassing than 'Lock Stock'. I've taught him that it's perfectly acceptable to shove a traffic warden into the back of a van but 'smack my bitch up' doesn't get the time of day.
Just to point out, he wouldn't shove a traffic warden into the back of a van because he knows they're just doing their job & only a minor few of them are doing it for fun! :lolol:

Top parenting.

I confess to loving both arteeeests.

In fact . . . Eminem . . . . shivers up the spine to so much of his oeuvre. Some is cringe. But I prefer wild artistic oscillations to a flat line. f***ing Abba. Getting cross, now....and.....exhale

RIP Richard. What a drummer. Local lad. To me, now, for 35 years. Ran The Sun pub in town.

That's Richard Sinclair (Hatfields) on vocals. This track is from "Land of Grey and Pink" (my land, it really is grey and pink) and Pye sang on the album version. Pye married Pat.

I just found that big brother Jimmy died 9 days ago 😢

James Brian Gordon Hastings (12 May 1938 – 18 March 2024)

Jimmy was 77 here. Tears.

I won't start an RIP thread even though he is far more important than most of the twats Lenny starts threads about

Beat me to it.

I saw them at the Canterbury festival at Mount Ephraim. We were expecting it to be shite. One of my pals was in tears. I had something in my eye.
2002, Brighton Dome . . .a friend got us front row tix. String and brass quartets. Quite literally tears in my eyes, an immense performance and experience.

Mrs Zef supervised me to the Caravan gig, 'Ove, 2005 . . . Rich was drumming, and ACE! She was 6 months gone . . . our son is a good drummer . . . . . a mere coincidence however as that kind of thing is hippy bullshit. 😂

My band of bands. Saw them first time at Brighton poly when I was 15 in 73. On my own. Nobody wanted to go. Last time in Canterbury 10years ago. Was taken to Diss for my surprise 40th and met the boys. Dave had a piano shop in Herne Bay. Geoff lives in Fav. Ah....f***. RIP Jimmy.

I can't stand Abba I feel an overwhelming urge to slap all four of them! :lolol:
My YouTube recommended is now saying... The Beautiful South, Marrillion & Urban Hype 'Trip to Trumpton' I'm just going to press play & see where it takes me! Urban Hype and the like, ruined the rave scene but that's another discussion 🤣

Oh Malcolm. Another band we saw at the Nashville in the late 70s. Dead from heroin not long after.

In the last clip the band are introduced in French and then geezer says 'you're just a ****'. Foring telly, eh.

Forgot how hard RAR they were. Bless them. f*** the racists. f*** the tories.

Just found that their amazing guitarist is alsogone 😢
