Not interesting maybe to born footie fans, but I enjoyed Twenty-two Foreigners in Funny Shorts by Pete Davies no end, and press it on strangers. It's a history of the World Cup, intercut with the preparations for USA '94 and a fan's eye view of a Wrexham promotion season.

build a bonfire is f***ing fantastic. i was too young to fully appreciate it at the time, but it brought tears to my eyes on several occassions, and i'm 'ard.

My vote too for 'Provided You Don't Kiss Me' about Cloughie. Very good. Really enjoyed the Miracle of Castel Di Sangro too. Claridge's 'Tales from the Boot Camp' is excellent, and in a similar vein so is Tony Cascarino's autobiography. Away from footy, well worth trying Lance Armstrong's "It's Not About The Bike", and Seabiscuit is surprisingly entertaining, even if you're not into horse racing.

Not 100% football related but both of Alan Brazil's books are worth a read.
Even more tenuous link to football but Playing the Moldovan's at Tennis is a very amusing read (as are all of Tony Hawks books).
Best of the Hooli books I've read....errrrmmmmm none of them! Actually Eurotrashed is ok.
