The Fatherland
I saw a preview where the director and writer were present for a post-film Q&A. The film has some great cinematography, scenes and dialogue in it. It is totally ruined by the final scene. The final scene seemed to be bolted on at the end to give it some shock value. It would have been a lot better had it either not been included..or left to the imagination.

It might have been saved had the director or the writer presented a case for its inclusion but they presented a poor arguement and often fumbled for words. They came across as amauterish. All they did was cement the view I formed during the film. If your are going to do something like they did...you had better have a good arguement.

Hopefully they will learn from this and use the experience to make better work in the future.

I guess my claim to fame is being mates with the director at school.

I haven't actually seen it yet. I bought the DVD for a mate's birthday present as he loves Danny Dyer in a gay way, but I heven't got round either watching it or giving it to him.

Most of the 'inside a house' scenes were shot in my neighbours house (and my garden, come to think of it). They blocked my driveway for *days*. :)

Saw it last year. Waste of an hour and a half. How they got someone with the genius of Yorgos Arvantis involved in is anyone's guess...!
