Though this was worth a bounce. Seem to be hearing the cover of "She's always a woman" by Fyfe Dangerfield about every hour on the radio. Nice though the song is its seems to sound exactly the same as the original by Billy Joel.
...So can we have some more cover nominations please. Here are a few:-
"Sexual healing" by Kate Bush, true to the original but maybe the thought of being sexually healed by Kate Bush makes me like this.
"Because the Night" by Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. When is a cover not a cover? Bruce wrote it but I suspect that most people are more familiar with the version by Patti Smith that was her (only?) UK chart hit. Good though her version is it doesn't have the E-Street band firing on all cylinders behind it so I like "The Boss' " better!
"Walk on By" - The Stranglers - THE definitive cover version IMHO - unless you wish to differ??
