Jewell: Teamsheet Will Reveal Leadbitter's Decision
Thu 26th Apr 2012 16:10
Boss Paul Jewell says fans will learn whether midfielder Grant Leadbitter will be staying at Portman Road or moving on when his contract is up this summer from Saturday’s teamsheet at Doncaster. The 26-year-old was given an extra week to consider his future with Middlesbrough understood to have offered him a contract and Brighton and Hove Albion also linked.

He is now out of contract but what does anyone think ?

Clearly he isn't the parading panther we all want in midfield, but he is a clear step up in quality. He can both defend AND attack, and on a free he would be a fantastic signing and a potential catalyst for other players to join the Gus Revolution. All we really need is for Vicente to say he's staying because we're brilliant, and that will be it. Players will be begging to sign for us!

Absolutely no flair.

Grant no Leadbitter no, and I doubt his middle name is Fandango.

Perfect replacement for Barry Robson at Boro, and he's from the North East too.

No chance, he'll be playing for Boro next season.

Going on hols before deciding (to go to Middlesboro')? Got to be a done deal already I suspect and just not shouting about it until the season is over.
Paul Jewell is saying he has already spoken to Pompey's Joel Ward so a ready made replacement - Jewell also says that Portsmouth's Jason Pearce is going to Leeds = we can begin crossing names off our "potential target" lists

Certainly off our list, yes... But not necessarily Gus' list!
