Let's be honest, he's wasn't going to get a game at Brighton this season, so why should he not go to a Premier League club where he'd be on a better contract and can go out on loan to a League One club to play regularly?

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Agreed. And it might have been better if we had offered him a new contract earlier, rather than allow his current one to run out or almost lapse, before taking this step.

He had a contract offer on the table months ago but chose not to sign it.

Already have a £200m squad that cost (despite only ever having one year's CL money), and this Summer splashing the borrowed cash on

Sigurdsson £8m
Vertongen £10m
Adebayor £5m

Trying to get Oscar or Moutinho for £25m, but those players are seemingly choosing big clubs.

Spurs now breaking their famous wage structure for the first time, in bid to oust one of the others from CL.

With this, it is difficult to see how Hall would get a look in.

Borrowed cash? What borrowed cash? We tend to spend what we sell Always have since levy took over. The only Times he has ever spent significant amounts more is when we have been in a Bit of trouble. What we have spent his summer has been more than covered by sales last summer last January and this summer.

Lets face it, the imminent departure of Modric to Real will free up £35 million, so the money spent on Gylfi, Adebayor and Vertonghan, is within that £35 million, with a bit of change (£12 million).

Also its all being kept very quiet, but there is something happening at Tottenham behind the scenes which is allowing them to spend the cash and increasing the "famous wage structure".

The Modric money will be on top of those signings. Pav was sold in January which wasn't spent,Crouch & palacios last summer. Corluka
And krankjar this summer. All decent money fees and Big wages off the wage bill.

In a pile of football shirts
I think we got Yasir Kasim free when he was released by Spurs.

You don't get something for nothing, and all we got here was nothing. After offering a bunch of Brighton fans 'outside' after being sent off in a reserve match (if I recall for threatening the referee, an attempted headbut I think it was), he deserves nothing, certainly nothing in a blue and white striped shirt. A foul mouthed, petulant, rude and aggressive juvenile, hopefully destined to be moved on at the soonest opportunity. .

I take it you are not his biggest fan ... :lolol:

Blimey thought Id logged onto to the Yids site with all these Spurs fans infesting the board.

Sorry about that I just hate this whole myth that spurs are spending loads of money they haven't generated themselves or are borrowing it. We are one of
The few very well run clubs in the premier league. That might change with takeover in the future but that is just whispers and rumours at the moment

Surely Spurs legend Gus Poyet will not alienate Grant Hall for having a trial at Spurs. Gus has always said he would not stand in the way of players trying to move up the footballing hierarchy, so he should not have an issue with this.

This. And then maybe we can loan him back...

Our squad list has been updated on the website, to include the new numbers for new players, and Hall remains on that list. As does Bergkamp with number 29 to be fair. The website is fantastic for daily pictures and general stories, but they don't pay much attention to the squad list.
