Group Stages now complete and the 2nd round line up looks like this:

Tony 'The Silverback' O'Shea v Mark 'Webby' Webster

Kevin 'The Artist' Painter v Kirk 'Young Gun' Shephard

Phil ' The Power' Taylor v Colin 'Jaws' Lloyd

Mervyn 'The King' King v Raymond 'The Man' Van Barneveld

Simon 'The Wizard of Oz' Whitlock v Steve 'The Adonis' Beaton

Gary 'The Dreamboy' Anderson v Scott 'Scotty 2 Hotty' Waites

Terry 'The Bull' Jenkins v James 'The Machine' Wade

Robert 'The Thorn' Thornton v Darin 'Big Daddy' Young

The predicted BDO whitewash hasn't materialised, two qualifiers for the Quarter Finals and half of the quarter finalists are either BDO or recent BDO defects.

It's been brilliant entertainment all week. Vincetn losing to Anastasia, then Vincent beating The Power.

Hankey completely losing it, Colin Lloyd qualifying in amazing fashion, John Part storming off stage, the BDO players acquitting themselves well, loads of top quality darts, excellent sportsmanship all round and now a tasty last 16 line-up.

Premier League football is bollocks by comparison.

Ooooh! Tonight i'll be flicking channels between the Darts and final week of the Premier league snooker + recording 'I'm a Celebrity'.

My bets are Mark Webster to beat Tony O'Shea(6/4) Darts.

Double on Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan to beat Marco Fu and John Higgins respectively(around 9/2) Snooker.

Katie Price next Bushtucker trial(1/100 probably)

They missed a trick with Merv when he switched over to the PDC - the should have called him "The Governor" after the bloke in charge of the Bank Of England...also called Mervyn King.

Which leads on to one of the best signs I've seen at the Darts this week...

"Mervyn King, what a banker"
