I suggest you re read the posts after the team was announced.

I don’t have blind faith but I do have faith. You don’t, your prerogative and so far our owner seems to have faith too

Are you suggesting that you have a better and clearer view than me? It seems so. Don’t you do people disagreeing with you? Nice attempted but stupid putdown in your last sentence

I wouldn’t bother with it.

It's heartwarming to see so many (or is it few?) punters on NSC who have unearthed the secret to football success. I salute you all :salute:

Out of sight my arse. What game were you watching? Two shit shots from Macallister from outside the area and a shit one from Jahanbaksh from inside the area. Two players our passive aggressive manager picked to play up front. Subs made too late.

We made the openings because of the way Potter set us up but like so many entitled fans on here you are blaming Potter because the players didn’t score? The subs actually did worse than the allegedly shit players they replaced and didn’t even have a shot on target. I give up with posters like you who clearly have an agenda. Will you just disappear from NSC the next time we win and come back again as soon as we lose or draw again?

Even the Arsenal biased pundits said we were the better team in the first half, the same team slagged off by most of NSC as having been picked because Potter “ didn’t want the job/ was making a point to Bloom/throwing the game”. FFS

There was an interesting comment from the geezer orating on Amazon about us looking less effective when the subs came on

What were Welbeck and Connelly doing on bench if injured. Where was Swiss guy. Rubbish if he said Maupay gets fatigued easily. Hes 26/27 trains every day. Should have plkayed first 45mins at least
Maupay’s social media certainly didn’t have the same narrative before the game said he couldn’t wait to get back out on the pitch.

Come on Icy we didn’t really create anything apart from a couple of half chances. I admire you passion but at least be honest it wasn’t a great watch.

Nope, we were playing a tails up Arsenal and still on a shit run ourselves. My point is that Potter rotated the team and tried to win. We weren’t good enough but most of the comments pre and post match smacked of us THROWING the game or that Potter is clueless and out of his depth. That I strongly disagree with. He needs backing in January to get a better quality striker, if one can be found.

As it happens, result apart, I did enjoy the game

What is it about Tau's fairly dismal scoring record in a league that we have all dismissed as rubbish that makes us want him here? Are things that bad?

Actually, forget that last question. They certainly are ...

Out of sight is a bit generous - the xg in the first half was 0.55.

You might as well be speaking to me in Chinese. I keep seeing these references but I nod off or go hazy eyed before I can even begin to get my little non mathematical mind around it

Interesting to hear that Tau seems to be on his way, looks like I was crazy wrong about that a month ago or so. Will be exciting to see him. Probably rules out another winger signing.

Can the season get any better

Has been my thinking for a long time. Get ready for “why is Tua on the bench again”brigade to come out in force

Surely if you're interested in football it would pique your curiosity to find out about it?

If it’s statistics about expected things over what actually happens on the pitch then sorry, no it’s not for me. I gather we should be at the pointy end of the division if I believed them?

I get people being interested and it’s all very clever but I’ll stick with the BBC stats.

He needs to start f#cking the journalist off.

They would have pissed me off concentrating on all the negatives. Needs to start planning his responses better so that he just ignores what's been asked and just answer like a Politician and just turn questions round to what he wants to get out.

Journalists always go after you with leading questions when things are getting difficult so he needs to be ready to give them nothing. If need be.

It's becoming a witch hunt of his tactics and team selection so he needs to be better prepared for it. Don't think journalists were kind to him there.

It's not their job to be nice to him I know but not his job to just sit and take it either.

Agree. That said I thought GP showed his tough side there and handled it well. Didn’t take any shit from the journalist and his “tinker” question.

Sorry, I'm not on a 'get NooBHA' mission, I promise.....

I thought he dealt with the questions well, and the questions were entirely normal (dull, and shit, but normal).

I actually thought he didn't. I thought he looked rattled and didn't like how he was treated.

He even defaulted into mentioning he lost his father. The fact he needed to mention that tells you he was hurt by the questioning and sought a bit of respite behind that. The journalist didn't even acknowledge that statement and still kept pounding at him which was a wee bit ruthless and unfair.
