Potter has jumped up 3 places in one weekend to 30th, following the departures of Chris Wilder, Kenny Jackett and Lee Bowyer.

Wise words from Gary Neville a couple of years ago that would stop this thread bouncing so often.

In other news, Salford have parted company with their manager after just 4 months.

Yep, there's plenty of research that shows that changing managers every few months is detrimental to clubs. Too many terrible owners making kneejerk responses - the classic example is, of course, Fergie who'd never have got the time he had these days.

One of the good things about Bloom is that he's never going to fire a manager after a few bad results. What is ironic is that for all Newcastle fans' moans about what a terrible owner Ashley is, he's also an owner who tends to give managers time. It's true that Hughton didn't but I think he's learned from that.

Yes. He's now at B'muff.

And Nuno has gone from Wolves too.

Think he is now 25th with the following needing new managers...

Wolverhampton Wanderers
Crystal Palace
Fulham

Although those 3 managers were all above GP and have gone, Sutton Utd being promoted means Potter only jumps 2 places to 26th, as the Sutton manager Matt Gray has been in his job 19 days longer than Graham.

The reason he hasn't climbed three places is because Sutton Utd are now League 2 and their manager has been in place longer than Potter, pushing him down a space.
