I don't need to be blown away to be excited. If true, he'll bring something certainly new to us, and i'm very interested in how the current lot can change/develop, along with the new signings that i hope will dart and slice with a style ALIEN to us for a bit.

Yes MB, I think I'm with you here! GP= THE DOCTOR! Is how I will refer him from now on, it all fits now, he has come to rescue and save us from a mind numbing future with entertaining possession of the orb? Even the Amex is bigger on the inside?

The situation here gives Potter a lot more to work with.

Perhaps but relatively speaking, we are to the top six what Swansea was to Villa last season.

We clearly have envious eyes on the likes of Bournemouth, Wolves and Watford whilst wanting to take a big steer away from the type of bile ridden defensive anti-football that Burnley vomit out season after season and that was noticeable amongst our performances on a number of occasions recently too.

However, I was more than happy with our first season in the Premier League where we played some really nice attacking football on occasions - we just regressed as our Manager was obviously influenced to play a more attacking system that failed miserably. Why was Chris given all these forward players from 4-3-3 systems when it’s obvious that he specialises in 4-4-2 (or variations of that).

Hopefully Harry will have the magic knack and get us growling like Wolves rather than whimpering like frightened Terriers. Bloom is a gambler and he normally wins but every now and then (as with Hyypiä), the Lizard has to jettison his tail, scuttle off and re-group.

But that is with an under resourced Swansea side. Correct me if I am wrong wasn’t the Swansea side a mostly young and inexperienced side due to their poor financial situation. This will not be the case at the Albion where he will have access to a higher quality group of players who in theory should be better at implementing his plan. You are not comparing like with like. The situation here gives Potter a lot more to work with.

I am not expecting a huge upturn in our fortunes but I am expecting an incremental one that will see us survive next season. I believe Potter can do this, and give us a few memorable games along the way.

i doubt we'll be last on MOTD this season

So who in the current squad will be suited to Potterball?

Suited to Potterball?: Dunk, Bernado, Knockeart, Propper, Bissouma, Andone, March
Not sure: Montoya, Kayal, Jahanbakhsh, Locadia, Bong, Button, Burn
Could struggle? Ryan, Duffy, Gross, Stephens,
Taxi: Murray

Why would Ryan struggle, one of his strong points is his distribution?

Progressing to be more Bournemouth than Burnley... that'll do for me as a target to aim for.

Continually aiming to be top of the 17th-20th league was a just waiting for a creeping doom to arrive.

Let's get the 5? recruits in now... Reece James, Daniel James, Kalvin Phillips, a striker, an attacking midfielder... ???

Hmmm... some will adapt, some won’t. The latter will find the exit door after being given a chance. Not sure your list is very accurate.

The thought of Duffy dribbling out from the back fills me with dread!

Dale Stephens’ first ever forward pass will be a milestone moment.

Don’t think Stephens would struggle

Pretty accurate I reckon

Of the not sures.

Probably in. Kayal. Locadia. Bong. Button Jahanbaksh (too expensive to get rid of)

Probably out. Burn Montoya

At the end of my tether
How is recruitment going to work in the Potter era? He’s reportedly going to bring Kyle Macauley, his recruitment Analyst, as part of his backroom staff. How will that work with Paul Winstanley? On the face of it, there seems to be a duplication of roles...

Same thought occurred to me. Is Winstanley on the way out? Similar thing happened when Sammi H went..

Have we got Potter then, seems the case reading these latter posts and I can’t be bothered to troll through every page.
