I’ve heard that Chris will be taking a step back and offered a position at the Club, and that Lee Johnson or David Wagner have been targeted to replace him - I’d take Wagner - performed miracles at Huddersfield and is best mates with Juergen Klopp

Stop talking to the cat. The cat knows nothing. Fact.

How much is the compensation to Schalke?

Performed miracles at Huddersfield, by helping them on their way towards relegation?

And as for the Klopp reference, you are clearly deluded - or are you expecting half of Liverpool's reserves to rock up wherever Wagner manages, cos he knows Klopp!

I really don't get the ideology that a manager can decide when he wants to go.
Is there any club on the planet that would give that sort of control to a manager?

No of course there isn't, it would be utter madness.
Surely , It's step down or be sacked.

Potter know nothing about him, but I have heard he wears a magic hat.

10th in the Championship is not exactly a ringing endorsement

Correct on paper but when you look deeper the owners have sold all the best players and recruitment has been terrible to put it kindly.

Potter has blooded many a youngster and avoided the relegated team spend’n’slide approach.

I’m in the CH In! camp personally but, if he did leave, Potter or Jones would be near the top of my list.

I've watched him in his years in Sweden, and can say Brighton would be blessed to have him.
