Can't completely blame Smith. Poyet will now have seen that Russell Slade had a team not good enough to compete. Let's hope Gus has money to spend in the new year as wholesale changes are required and the present players are not capable of listening to what is expected of them. The best manager in the world could not get this shower to perform against a good side. They are just not good enough. There are probably only five or six players capable of playing at this level on a consitent basis. Good Luck Gus and roll on the transfer window.
