Does anyone else think that maybe GPott should read the players the Riot Act after the particularly poor performance at Sheff Utd?

The only criticism of GPott I have is that sometimes he suffers fools gladly and reading the players the Riot Act would show he is no soft touch. Possibly the time has gone as the most occasion to read the Riot Act out would have been immediately after the game.

Maybe he did and maybe he does when appropriate.

I voted No , the bunch of lads we have are very honest pros i believe , no divas or billybigbollox`s . They don`t need telling that they screwed up they know , it hurts them as much as us i am sure.

Pretty much this. I would like to think the players have had a chat between themselves to sort it out and wouldn't necessarily need Potter to read the riot act.

I'm sure he has the confidence in himself and squad to know we've got what it takes to stay up. Short term memory, put it behind and move on. Next game is another chance for 3 more points.

For reference, here is the Riot Act wording which is read (or was until the Act was repealed under the terms of the Criminal Law Act 1967);

Our sovereign lord the King chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to disperse themselves, and peaceably to depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the act made in the first year of King George, for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies. God save the King.

Personally, I'd rather he spent some time training our players that the ball is supposed to go inside the big white rectangles at the ends of the pitch (preferably at the correct end) than read them an obsolete law.

GP has qualifications in sports psychology so I am fairly certain he would know that each individual player will react in their own way to advice/criticism.
Sheff Weds was just one of those games and if I am honest with myself, not unexpected, but hope always reigns supreme. On to the next match and hope with guarded expectations.
