What are you on about? The vaccine was never fully effective at preventing transmission, it reduced it. And now we are in a different place altogether with Omicron.

We already have another NSC poster saying that they've got COVID in spite of being triple jabbed. I am currently in the same situation.

You have no idea of the vaccination status of these individuals and are speculating about them, which is inherently unfair.

EPL players are invariably thick as mince. And the levels of covid among their clubs suggests they're pretty much in the Immortal Gods camp, same as the thick as mince Amex mask-dodgers. All of them clevor trevers right up to point where it happens to them. Tossers

So basically it comes down to few of these shitferbrains EPL players getting jabbed. Presumably, like HMGOV, they think that jabs are for the little people :tosser:

No, it doesn't. I tried to include post 8 from portslade seagull in a multi quote but it didn't work.

My inlaws and respective spouses caught covid after being fully vaccinated, so stop insulting our players by jumping to conclusions as to who is jabbed and who is ill.

Another postponement would be handy with our injury problems.

I agree.

There's the obvious downside that at some point there will be a lot of fixtures to fulfil, but everyone will be in the same boat and it's hard for me to see how the season won't be extended

Can you please retract that before I get a telephone call?

1. Vaccines are not a suit of armour - they don't repel all infections. I was triple-jabbed and became infected.
2. Given the age of professional footballers, they would not have been offered a booster before now...
3. ...and the Omicron variant now circulating is very good at breaking through double-jabbed immunity.

I expect you will now go and knock one out if an epidemic arrives at BHAFC

Many players will have families - partners and children who are mixing with others in the same way as many of us do.

Even with limited social connections, ie being careful, it is still possible to catch the virus. It's almost certain that my son brought it home from school and infected me.

I'll insult EPL thick as mince players as I see fit cheers. These people live their entire careers in a very rarified bubble with the very best possible medical staff and advice. And yet still they go down like ninepins. Ask yourself why that might be? ???

That's going to be a lot of fun with the ridiculous and shameful so called world cup coming along with all its adjustments to the timetable. Next season is supposed to start earlier. Maybe they'll have a weekend off and no pre season.

I think you'd better retract what you said on Bozza's advice.

If it is true that many of them went out in London, now the epicentre of the world in Omicron cases, over the weekend after our game was called off I wouldn't particularly call that being careful. As you mention even with being careful there's still going to be a good likelihood you will catch it in the coming weeks and months so I think it's poor form *if* it is true that a large number went out partying in London, and almost inevitable positive cases will have come following that.

This could all become rather problematic. With the injuries we've got and these 3 cases amongst the players, if any more players subsequently test positive we could be really threadbare, I presume we are already too late to apply for the postponement of the Wolves game, but with Man Utd's problems I'd not be at all surprised if that game is off. Think Wednesday night could be a rather chastening experience for the squad but hope we can make it competitive.

As for those posters criticising the players intelligence, perhaps they should look in the mirror as opposed to making unfounded statements based on assumptions.

If you are working in a bubble during the time of a highly transmissable disease it could spread rapidly within the bubble?
