It is worth noting the number of goals that we have conceded from mistakes or bad passes by Greer. He has been a good servant but next season cannot be considered a regular first choice unless he can get back to where he was. Our major problem t the back is lack of pace. and sadly Halford is not the answer. We either sign him or Calderon for the utility man on the bench but not both. The CBs are not helped by having 2 full backs who can get forward but cant defend.

So to sum up BG, he's shite.

Absolutely spot on BG. Fullbacks skinned far too frequently, Greer achieving a pass to a teammate is a collectors item... Simply not good enough.

You appear to see a different game to most.

Yes I do!

Agreed, I think his been poor for a long time but today he managed to surpass that by some distance. Shocking.

What did he do that was so bad? Obviously the first goal, but that's not the whole game is it. I think some people are more intuned to looking out for mistakes from individuals. Admittedly, I do it with LuaLua, I want him to be shit so that's what I see.

If Greer is a regular starter next season, that will say so much about the Club's lack of ambition. He's been a great leader, defender, ball playing CB and stalwart for the club, but age has caught up with him for some time now. He's slow, gets caught out of position with no hope of recovery and has been involved in some of the costly mixups.

Butters on Radio Sussex today summed up what's required at CB to be a top Championship club. He described the Watford CB's as towering giants, confident in their ability and able to mop up anything thrown at them all season long, enabling the forwards and creative players to inflict damage at the other end. I've seen many competent and athletic CB pairings in opposing teams over the last 4 years, and that's what we need COME AUGUST. Greer should at best be a sub now and possibly a future coach. Otherwise the club will be offering more of the mundane to failing same, to the fanbase.

Virtually every pass. Enough said.

I realise that it is the done thing to have a go at Greer yes he could have done better from the poor header from Halford who seems to have escaped all criticism and some of his passes were poor but it was not only him to blame.

For me Kayal should be club captain next year constantly talking to players and the bench and driving the team on
I expect everyone here feels the same. Someone start a poll.

This season as shown that Greer is well past it. It did not look as bad last season by the fact Upson was excellent and carried him. Kayal for Captain.

Indeed, as the Sky commentator said, Brighton could have defended that situation so much better in so many different ways. It was a defensive shambles.
