Considering that was (I think) the first time they'd played together at CB, I thought Bomber and Dunk were absolutely superb today. OK, City were dire, but a part of that was because those two completely snuffed Maynard and Wood out of the game. It was great to see some of Dunks forays into their half too.

Have to say, I think El Abd in particualar looks utterly undroppable. He did not put a foot wrong, his positioning and anticipation was spot on again. Everything you want from a centreback.

Agree with all your comments apart from city were dire, they were often hovering around the goal trying to score , our defence and goal keeper played well give them credit

Hmmm...I think they're possibly the worst I've seen at the Amex, certainly down there with Burnley. Complete lack of drive and imagination, relied on aimless hoyks for most of the game, no width, no penetration, couldn't pass for toffee. Brez had ONE routine save to make all game. Towards the end they pushed us back a bit (their 17 looked lively when he came on), but the game was won by then and we were cruising.

I was fearful of Maynard beforehand, but he was completely anonymous.

We looked calm and composed throughout. Keep the shirts. Greer needs to realise that the role of a captain is about setting a good example not just playing well. How many times has he been sent off for us now?
