Leadership was required in defence last night and Greer very clearly stepped up to plate and was awesome.

Funny how different seats give you such a different perspective. I didn't think Kishishev was all that last night (nowhere near as calamitous as Battipiedi but still not great), yet several people have now said he was excellent. I thought Calderon had a very good game, but I've seen posters on other threads suggest he was a liability, or words to that effect.

Greer I'd agree with though, thought he was immense. I know that fat arse Lambert only has one goal from open play this season (not surprising when you saw the complete cock-end he made of a great headed chance :lolol) but he still needs to be kept in his box, and Gordon did that almost flawlessly.

I agree, he was brilliant last night as he has been all season, apart from Woking away. I can't believe some Swindon fans thought they got the better deal. I've got to say though that last night was exactly the sort of game that Tommy usually thrives in. He's at his best when it is backs-to-the-wall defending required.

The only difference between Greer and Elphick is experience but unfortunately in football this can be the differance between sucess and failure, thats why Gus shelled out the 250k.Tommy has potential to be better than Greer and will benefit greatly, like he did with Butters, in playing alongside him.

kishishev is player of the season by some distance at the minute

For me, he is the most overated player at the club. When Navarro gets back in the side, Kishishev will bow out gracefully. I've nothing but respect for the man, he says all the right things and I'm sure he does all the right things around the club, but from a football perspective I don't think he's worth his place in the team.

As for Gordon Greer. I never rated him too highly at Swindon, I didn't see the brilliance. I was wrong. Very wrong.

You also slagged off Casper to your good friends on the Swindon board even before Casper had actually played a game for us.You were saying how rubbish he was.Infact i hardly ever agree with anything you say.Seriously pal you do talk a lot of shite.

I could NOT disagree more. Kishishev on form is an absolute joy to watch. His first touch and one-touch passing are a cut above most in this league and it's easy to see he has played at a higher level. His experience is also vital and he keeps the midfield ticking. To say he will 'bow out gracefully' is complete nonsense and, I would suggest, a tad disrespectful. He won't go on forever and this may well be his last season, but he is more than good enough to contribute at this level.

Absolutely. That slagging of Ankergren was a joke and he has again been proved wrong thanks to, thus far, and excellent season from Casper.

Kish has already hinted he may retire at the end of the season. If we do go up then Kish won't be needed anyway.I'm not sure if i would have him for another season at this level though. He has been a very shrewd signing for us.
