Gordon Greer Appreciation

It's a shame he wasn't able to prove this previously. Never really doubted his ability as a defender or a captain. Really is an amazing player. Let's hope he can go on like this and stop himself getting sent off.

He got caught out in the first few minutes and didnt look match fit but that soon passed and he upped his game to our great benefit.

Agreed, got stronger as the game went on. He hits a really good accurate ball as well, fantastic pass to set Lua-Lua away towards the end.

Our depth in central defence makes it even more likely that Tunnicliffe will not be back and come to that McNulty not either. Will we get our money back on them or just let their contracts run out and release them? I cant see anybody paying too much money for them unless Slade wants them at Orient.

I thought he had a great game, and gus fully justified in putting him in for Elphick (altough I was initially skeptical)

But - did Calderon have to lose the captaincy too? Not that it seemed to bother him!

Dont think that will bother Inigo at all. In fact quite the opposite, Greer is the natural Captain, not taking anything away from Inigo but I feel his game will get even better now. All good stuff, right back is no position for a captain anyway, got to be ch or cm imho.
