No, but he's not match fit.

Rubbish. I think most Leeds fans will tell you he should be in the team, he is miles better than Crainey.

Whatever you say. Put him in the team for the play-offs then. Could do with a bit of a laugh.

So how much you reckon Lynch is worth then? (this should be a classic).

Why should it be a classic?

It's not difficult to understand the situation re Lynch, is it, Kev? Do you want me to walk you through it?

He is our contracted player for the next 3 years. Any other club who wants him will now will have to pay a big premium for him if they want him badly enough.

That could happen but on the balance of probabilities is very unlikely to happen at this current time, so, happily, he will almost certainly be our player for the foreseeable future, contrary to what your loverboy 1066 maintained at the top of this thread.

Does that about cover it? Any more questions?

Your right the club doesnt have to sell, but you get the feeling that trhe reason they give players like him such long contracts is so they can

Gets stuck in maybe, but in what sense does he "look the part"? He's been average at best this season - which isn't his fault; he's been asked to play out of position, but nonetheless, he's hardly compared to a player of Harding's quality at left-back.

Yes, we are a "selling" club, are we not? That's our situation in the food chain of football and has been for a long time. And always will be till we get our finances sorted. Hardly front page news that.

Yes , I have a question. How long have Kev and Adrian been lovers and do you have any proof?

He could be contracted to us for ten years but it would make little difference to any ``big club`` if they really wanted him. Apart from the obvious fee to sign him because of his age any club only needs to cover the cost of his contract which is not a lot of dosh I can assure you. If he`s on a three year deal that would not even be 150 grand which is chicKen feed to most championship sides. There`s a few div 1 teams that could afford him as well.
We can never be anything other than a selling club for many years to come and then even if we were a mid table premiership team we would still have to face facts if the big boys come a calling.

For the record i dont think anyone would want him yet as hes looked ok but nothing else. He might be really good one day so i suppose someone might take a punt on him.

Yes, I agree with that, but it's a win-win situation for us, though I think?

Any club that wants him has to pay silly money or we tell them to piss off. They agree to pay silly money, we win. The predatory club doesn't agree to pay silly money, we tell them to piss off, we keep the player for our League 1 promotion campaign, we win that way.

Really can't see a problem here at all, Lynch can only be good news for us.

I saddens me a bit that people see losing Lynch, even for decent money, as a good thing. I can see the practicalities of it but I for one hope he is playing for us when we move into Falmer. People keep saying he has done ok, I disagree, I think he has been excellent. He's what 18, has broken into a championship side and looked good despite the fact they are struggling. Not only that but he is playing out of position.
