If she ends up going, make sure you arrive after the Gully Girls have performed, else you will be accused of staring no matter where you look, and not hear the end of it for the next 90 minutes. Trust me.

I have also experienced this. Beware of the Gully's Girls trap. They are fit mind

In my experience best not to take her at all. Been happily married for 20 years to a woman who doesn't like football. She's been to see the Albion only twice, the last time a home victory over Portsmouth about 5 years before we left the Goldstone. Prior to that I had a long-term girlfriend who was happy to come to football on the understanding that I would 'compromise' by missing the next home game to take her shopping instead. Needless to say, that compromise didn't work for me. Count your blessings!

The best use of women at football, is to drop you off at the ground, then they can go and do a bit of shopping. They like that.
Then they can cook your tea whilst you listen to the phone in or watch You've been framed.

my girlfriend hates the withdean, last game i took her to was the 4-0 loss to crewe and only just managed to get her to go to the villa fa cup game by showing her the stadium and park next to it beforehand. mum on the other hand absolutely loves it, and shes only been to the fa cup game at torquay, then the villa game.

Honestly, unless she actually wants to come to footy with you, WHY would you BOTHER? Can you really not bear to be apart for a couple of hours? I can assure that if you're still together in years to come you'll be thanking your lucky stars she doesn't like footy cos it gives you a chance to get a couple of hours aways from her and the kids.

Don't do it, I repeat, DON'T DO IT!

When you get a bit older and fancy a weekend away with the lads, football is the perfect excuse.

'Sorry luv, big away game at Villa in a couple of weeks, once in 5 year type of game, me and the lads are gonna make a night of it and get a B&B etc.. Hey, tell you what, let's pop out for dinner tonight to make it up to you?'

If your Mrs gets into footy it will go more like this.

'But I was gonna have a night out with the boys FFS! What do you mean, 'we never go anywhere'? Okay, we'll have the day at Villa Park, back to the hotel for dinner and then see JLS at the NEC, yes it's my shout as it's 3 weeks till your birthday'.

seeing stockport beat us at home put her off and i only got her to that game by showing her were peter andre lives on the way .

That was a brilliant game - six goals, three sendings-off!
There is no hope for her on the football front if she didn't go for that.
