I fail to understand the point in these particular posts. I've come to the conclusion that this parody of a twat simply likes to wind people up on here. Top end Chamopinship club, great squad and still with every chance of getting to the play offs this season, average home gates of 24,000 and a state of the art academy on the way.

What an incredible future.

I worry that this bellend WW really does not understand the big picture. Infrastrucutre is everything to sustain success. not whether Barnes saw red at Hillsborough on Saturday.

What a f***ing twerp WW really must be.

I wouldn't worry about WW, it would be a waste of your brain time.
He is a f***ing twerp/bell-end and any other phrase you could use to that effect.
And in case you weren't clear, no he doesn't understand the big picture because he is so completely blinded by his hatred for Gus and his philosophy that nothing else matters.

Gus must have 'turned him down' or similar because nothing else explains the endless tide of irrational bile he directs towards OUR manager.

With 11 men on the pitch it is not unreasonable to hope that we could have turned a one nil deficit into a win. With ten men ... very little chance. Conclusion: Barnes is an idiot.

After 83 competitive games in which we have not come from behind to win (22 games last season in which we conceded first, no wins; 3 games in which we scored first but lost (meaning we went behind and failed to come back and win in those three, too); 15 games this season we've conceded first and lost failed to win. So at least 40 of 83 games prior to saturday we were behind at some point and failed to turn it around and win. I don't have any "scored first, went behind, but drew" numbers.

We haven't ever beaten sheffield wednesday at hillborough.

Believing we could turn it around isn't unreasonable, it is quite optimistic, but not unreasonable (it is football, after all). But neither is it unreasonable to think that we would have lost even with 11 men, either, given we've failed to do so in such circumstances in over a season and a half.

Indeed, and if all else fails, a total and utter unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through!!

You're correct, but I was not disputing that in any way.

He made it harder. Yes

But we didn't lose the 3 points BECAUSE he was sent off, which was my original point.

So basically, we agree. (after all that!)

I have to agree with Kev J, At one nil down there was every chance of turning it around. From the sending off, the goal was scored. We are now two nil down with ten men on the pitch, with now little chance of getting the win, which on the second half showing, there was every possibility we would have gone on to get the win. Thus, in effect, he cost us the three points. In the same way, Kucz cost us two points the other week with his error. Yes there were opportunities to still win, but it was that error that led to the draw.

Exactly. End of thread.

If only. The Barnes/Poyet haters are loving this week, they get to say all things wrong with BAHA. If we do well the next 3 games it will be solely because Barnes isn't playing, if we don't they'll attack Poyet. Haters gotta hate.
The OP just moans about everything, which leads to a terrible lack of balance.

Poyet said himself that every player that is of worth does this from time to time - Gerrard, Beckham, Scholes, Cantona are the first I'm thinking of - Barnes plays a position where he's harassing, tracking, holding, defending and scoring. The mind is tense, focused, alive. The are times the brain doesnt work quite as well as it should - BANG - a launch for the ball, timed badly both feet off the floor = 3 game ban and (following our shit defence on Saturday), 3 points. But people want him hanged. It's not eastenders where everything is black and white and shouted at you, you protect your players, especially the best ones.

The truth is Barnes wasnt the reason for the loss, it was the defence. But carry on, you seem to enjoy it.

Never thought i'd see Barnes mentioned in the same breath as, Gerrard, Beckham, Schloes and Cantona lol. I suppose they all do, or at one time did get paid to play football.

Are you trying to be obtuse with that comment or do you simply type before the two small cells rattling around upstairs have time to start the engine?

Making a statement of fact. The poster mentioned four world class players, then Barnes. If you think that is comparable, then I suggest it is not myself with two brain cells.

great post. highlight a wider view of the factors that influence football instead of focusing on detail to serve and agenda.

Sorry, I think we agree. My 'Exactly. End of thread.' comment was to the person that said Gus will support his player publicly, but deal will discipline internally.

I absolutely agree with your points, and have been feeling Barnes has being playing his best football recently, with arguably a near match winning game against Birmingham, where he appeared to be everywhere.

So I think you may have misquoted my post somewhere along the line, as you will not find any post from me that has lambasted Gus or our Ashley!

No no, sorry. I was just using your line as the start of the post. The rest was aimed at the usual moaners.
