I don't have a problem with you going to the meeting, Dave. It's just that I don't think anyone can represent the views of NSC.

The only views I represent is my own...I was asked to attend as someone had suggested I started songs...I did that and hopefully made a couple of suggestions that will be taken on board, although the five people ( apart from stumpy tim) introduced themselves as being from NSC, we were never asked " what do the good people of NSC think?". NSC is a disparate group of individuals, whereas the a21 club, seagulls over bur wash, official supporters club were all representatives of a group of people.

I got the impression this group will meet the management again to review the support and to get feedback...if NSC want me to go, I will if not I won't. I certainly won't loose sleep over it.

If anyone wants to have a go at anyone for some NSCers being at the fans' meeting on Friday, here I am - moan away.

I was asked, I selected the NSCers and most of them went. (I was unable to travel down for it)

As it is, the aim of the meeting actually changed a bit from what I was originally told, but I'm happy with the choice of those who attended on behalf of NSC, and I would rather have some NSCers then than not.

If/when future invites are extended by the club I will again look to select a group who have proven themselves to be reasonably sensible and constructive on NSC.

Being such a big Elton John fan Dave (when it suits) did you suggest 'I'm still standing' as an act of defiance.

So why the " special fans" dig?

I suppose to a degree the club thought contacting the a21club, Seagulls over Burwash, the supporters club and probably the most widely read web site for representatives would have covers all bases.

Maybe you should ask the question of the club as to why they didn't petition every fan.

I don't thing there was anyone at that meeting who thought they could be classified as " special fans". Maybe that is where the club went wrong....perhaps there are more special fans somewhere?

Maybe nowadays they'd be better just to invite suggestions by email via NSC/the website/the Argus. Much as I read NSC quite a bit, I feel it's far from representative of the views of the supporters I knew at Withdean, most of whom never look on here at all.

i attended the meeting and it seemed to me it was the club getting feelings from a cross section of fans, this was very encouraging

as my fear was as the club became bigger the fans views would not be heard. I hope this continues and what ever group you belong to dont forget we are all Albion fans and want the best for the club dont we

The version at Withdean was, I believe, that recorded by Horsham Brass Band, may be wrong, but the tempo was correct. I think it would be good if the club adopted this or a similar version and posted the words on the big screens so that (22500 minus 2500 at the away end) could sing it - I believe that would be almost terrifying for the opposition.
!

Spot on, I cant abide that "der der der " nonsense, we must have the only fans in the country who cant be arsed to learn the words of their clubs anthem & then sing them at the correct speed.
