Doherty fund flops
(Friday May 09, 2008 10:30 AM)
A Pete Doherty welfare fund established to support him following his release from prison has raised less than £20, according to reports.
Fashion website lastseason.com this week confirmed there will not be a big presentation to the Babyshambles star after the initiative flopped.
The fund, which comprised donations from the sale of a range of clothes across a range of high-profile labels, totalled just £17.10.
A spokesman for the retailer commented: "Sales have been somewhat disappointing - we only sold six stripey tops.
"We had planned to do a big presentation and get a big cheque made up but it seems pointless for a mere £17 quid and change."
