How about, we didn't beat them in the league but this is now a cup competition, so results during the season mean nothing.

I feel there isn't a lot between us and Boro, whereas I think Wednesday have a lot of the things we seem to struggle against.

Plus unlucky ground etc......

If we win or lose by 2, it's still all to play for in the second leg. Even needing 3 in one half isn't beyond possibility, as Liverpool showed (again) a few weeks back.

Obviously I won't apply that logic to the dark despair that will consume me should we lose, even if by just 1.

I think I've covered that, I'll be melancholy even if only 1 goal down. Our team has been fantastic all season, I've never seen anything like it and we just don't deserve the shitty refereeing decisions we're getting, and I'm pretty pissed off about it.

Yes they were, but each game is different. It would be tough for either side to try and hold a 1 goal lead for 90 minutes.

It's not worth thinking about "ifs" at the moment. I just want to see a good performance tonight and will try and enjoy it.
