The 1.15 has not been voided, on Betfair at least, just postponed, so it may well be that all bets stand. You'll be okay on Overdose, though, as he's definitely not running in the re-run, which means you'll get the stake back.

Not sure what else is coming out at the moment, but Dandy Man, National Colour and possibly Borderlescott were ones that passed the line. Think Desert Lord may have done too.

Cancel that, seems the French have a rule that if you cross the line after a false start, you can't run again even if you want to. Real shame for the connections, long way to come for nothing.

That's a bad rule. Punishes the innocent for no good reason at all.

If true, yes. Still seems to be some doubt about it though. Bookies are giving people the chance to cancel bets if they want, and if you let them stand, there will obviously be a big Rule 4.

Dear Questions

I cannot believe that you have followed my reccomendations in relation to Horses, we had winner in the 1.15 but the race was voided nd then Copperbeach sneaked 3rd I think

Lesson one Never ask Charlton Athletic Supporters anything in relation to sport. We are not good judges as our taste in football clubs aptly demonstrates!!

Cheers

Stuart:D

Just a bit of fun really. Sometimes I like to bet but haven`t done any homework or have neglected the GG`s for a while.
Velvet`s nailed on , dont worry.

Was talking to someone here just now who timed the first Abbaye (by hand) and reckons Overdose stopped the watch at 54 seconds dead, which would be incredible if it's true, even allowing for the strong following wind.

Assuming he isn't going to run, if this is true he is definitely the moral winner, and well worth looking out for in the future.

Minor correction - it was 54.4 apparently, which is just 0.1 second outside Habibti's course record, which has always been in some doubt as it just seemed impossibly quick. The horse is a right tool, no doubt about it (and he has just been declared a definite non-runner, btw).

That's a crying shame.

May well go on to win other races, but today was a one-off. There will always be that feeling of anti-climax, of what might - and indeed SHOULD - have been. Connections must feel totally gutted.

Desert Lord, Overdose and Only Answer are the only non-runners, everything else goes to post.

Am still very tempted by National Colour, though should probably leave well alone. Her jockey may have finished but he didn't go mad.

Like Jeremy Noseda said on the telly, it's still a Group One race and the prize money's still there for the taking.
