Good Country Pub for Dinner Tonight..

The Harvey's Arms in Lewes, is nice, and think you can sit outside by the river?

As an aficionado of (a) pubs; (b) Harvey's; (c) Lewes and (d) sitting by a river ... can I ask where this place is? Or do you mean the John Harvey Tavern, opposite the brewery?

For good value, good quality, outside-in-the-pub-garden eating, I'd recommend the Cricketers at Berwick.

May I recommend the Jolly Sportsman in East Chiltington, some of the finest grub, gorgeous garden and a very well stocked bar

Seven Dials
The Fountain at Ashurst - a mile or two beyond Steyning then a right turn, but well worth it.

Miles from Portslade I know (but still in East Sussex) The Bear Inn at Burwash has the best view of any pub I know in the county and the food is pretty good
