Great British (and once you start watching them they are clearly British) Movies are virtually everything that Powell and Pressburger did in the 1940's and 50's. Especially A Canterbury Tale, The Life & Death of Colonel Blimp and the sublime A Matter of Life and Death but they are all worth watching...

I’m Alright Jack is also great.

Parodying awful management and militant unions in the postwar years, as the UK slowly receded compared to other industrialised nations. Peter Sellars at his best.
