Was one of my favourite courses when I lived back in Sussex. Used to be a member at Mid Sussex, how's that looking now ?.

I used to be a member too (let it lapse because I wasn't playing enough - now just a social/fairweather player plus our annual trip to the Algarve) and most of my society mates still are so I play it now and again - it's in excellent shape TBH, they've done a ton of work on drainage which was always the issue. Fairways and greens are very good.

I played Tuesday with a 3.30 tee. Could only manage 9, heat exhaustion.
Been trying to get to grips with a shotscope x5. Anyone else use one?

I bought a cheap (£100) Tec Tec GPS watch. Seems to do the job. Accurate enough for how I play anyway!

yes I've been using Shotscope for about 5 years with very few problems, although having said that my X5 died midway through my round last night and is now stuck in some kind of loop booting up! I've emailed Shotscope support about it and they are usually very good, I'll see what they suggest but it seems to me like it could be FUBAR!
