I just asked the insider about getting the Albion heroes from Hereford '97 back for the last game of the season (to wave, not to play!) and was thinking maybe we the fans should do something to remember the Goldstone too.

I know many of us haven't returned since that last game but something like a big fans match in the Toy R Us car park would be a good reason to.

I would imagine the club won't mark this occasion as they want to be seen to be looking forward to Falmer but I think a lot of fans might like something to recall that emotional day v Doncaster.

Just an idea. ???

Whatever happens, the 10th anniversary of the demolition of the ground is a PR opportunity not to be missed.

I swore never to go to that place every again, unless to watch or play football. many years ago i had an idea to paint the car park green, mark out a pitch and game on. Im definatly up for a bit urban terrorism

 :ascarf: :albion1: :bhasign:

There is another thread on this discussing all sorts of ideas. Whatever, SOMEONE needs to decide what we're doing and start putting this into motion, pretty sharpish.

It would be nice to think NSC could sponsor the ideas - something with a bit of bollocks to it, because when left to the Supporters' Club, I fear something a bit... woolly.

Is it too late to ask the club to ask the Football League for the Albion and Doncaster to swap their fixtures with whoever both clubs are due to be playing on April 28 - or is that asking a bit much?

Football match in the car park would never get the go-ahead.

How about hiring one of the training pitches in Hove Park.

Brighton Fans Vs Fans of other clubs.

March to the Withdean for the game against Oldham, then a March to the Falmer site, carrying some sort of Olympic style torch.

How about everyone goes for a drink in their usual pre-match watering hole, mumbles a bit to their mates about how the club should have done something to mark the occasion, then trundle along to Withdean and watch some mediocre football, then back to the pub for some more mumblin' and grumblin'.

Do you think anybody would be interesting in this?
