Nope just rang my Dad and he said it was Man City in 80/81 season on a Saturday

Can't remember much of the match as i was 7 at the time:lolol:
Yes it was Man City and it bloody hammered it down.Stood in the North Stand and got drenched as the roof was taken down for safety reasons at the end of the 79/80 season!

That bloody great scaffolding tower at the top of the east terrace if Brighton were on Motd (back in the days when they did a match from each division)

People on the East Terrace moaning constantly, in the time I stood there before graduating to the North Stand, I am sure they still exist...somewhere!

they are now all safely stored in E block, just waiting to grumble and moan at the crap sanitised Falmer "experience" :lolol::lolol::lolol:

it was "Ferry Ferry Nice"

I also remember, in the last couple of seasons, having a guess the Gate competition whilst waiting for the second half. We never got near though as they always seemed to be way out (in our opinion). Sometimes we reckoned they were 2000-3000 short. Now, I wonder what happened to that money?......if we were right, of course.

As a young lad, climbing on top of the old shooting gallery made out of railway sleepers, on the corner between the South and West stands for the Brighton v Watford match. A capacity crowd there to see Adrian Thorne score five goals to gain our first ever promotion in the football league. Spent the whole game in agony with a large wooden splinter in my hand gained when climbing up the top.

West street Firm in the East stand
south stand when it was standing
A southampton fan climbing to the top of the flood lights, while all there fans sang o when the SAINT goes marching on.
Having it with Bristol Rovers and Bristol City in goldstone lane, different times :jester:
Massive fights against oxford in hove park, police horses trampling everyone
Chasing Palace over Hove foot bridge, on more than one occasion
Sheff utd lads spilling onto the pitch, then running even faster back as a Handful of Brighton chased them back.
Of course the 4 main coppers, Beardo, Binsey, rosy, and fat chops remember them?
God i miss a good row, I mean I miss the Goldstone !!!

I remember standing in the North Stand and when it was full running down the terraces to avoid getting crushed against the blue barriers

Being able to buy beer and other alcohol from the little kiosk under the Main Stand-down in the SW corner.

Getting in under the gate over the East side and running along the running track to avoid paying the transfer fee to get in the North Stand.

Sitting on the floodlight pylons before there was barbed wire installed.

Taking the kids for the first time, and seeing them get as excited as I used to be.
