blimey so 3069 STH's paying probably on average about £400 per ticket = £1.23million odd.

Say we have 15 players on 2k a week ( some will be more , a lot will be less), that is 15 x 2000 x 52 = £1.56mill

You can see just on that very broad ( and probably inaccurate) costing, STH's dont even cover the players wages.

BTW What has happened to all the missing STH's ie 5000+ when we came back to 3000 now?

Me and my brother were season ticket holders up until the end of the 04/05 season, had to give mine up due to being made redundant and my brother couldn't afford one either. Since then neither of us have missed a game that we've wanted to go to due to not being able to get a ticket, so I don't see the need to have a season ticket.

I'm one of the 3069.
As you say though Shabadoo, you'll never miss out on a ticket for Withers for a game you want to go to. The main reasons I stick with my season ticket though is because (a) I can't be arsed to fanny about applying for individual tickets all the time, and (b) I know I'll always be in a decent seat, next to some mates.

If we're still in the third division next year, I won't be surprised if the season ticket sales dip below 3,000.

That one kind of easy to answer. The benefit in having a season ticket as far as I can see is that it's convenient, you get a bit of a discount (providing you go to all matches) and you get the same seat.

The down side is that you pay almost six months ahead of time, the club piss about as to whether you get any priority for big games or not, it seems you can't give them away for games you can't attend let alone recoup some money and you lose out on games where special pricing is applied.

Looking at those pros and cons, if I were still living there I wouldn't be renewing either.
