Don't drive...They won't let you anywhere near the ground and you'll be clamped!

If you can, book up on the National Express if there are spaces left....It's the most hassle free way to travel up there...

Skirt round the M25 - park in Harrow and get the tube back into Wembley from there. Free parking and less people go that way after the game.

I like going for a few bevvies in central London before an England game though (and I was seriously considering going to this one). Just didn't get my arse into gear in time, and I'm glad I didn't now.

You just KNOW there's going to be all kinds of disruptions all over the shop.

Or skirt around West London and park up at West Ruislip (for free) and catch the train in from there. There is a golf club opposite the station with a good little pub so have a swift one before catching the train. Make sure you check the times though as they don't tend to put more trains on and they aren't hugely frequent.

You will queue for a fair while getting onto the Wembley train station to get back but still quicker than driving and parking at Wembley.

You say that, but in my experience its pretty quick.
I went to the England v USA game last year. The attendance was about 70,000, I stayed until the final whistle, and timed it. From leaving my seat in the stadium to actually being on a tube train about to leave Wembley Park station took a grand total of 17 minutes.

Of course I was a *badfan* and didn't stay behind to applaude His Royal Beckness off the field following his 100th cap. But if you shift your arse at the final whistle, then getting away on the tube is not too bad at all.

you've probably got your reasons but I can't think of any why I would drive.

but if I was going half car half train, i'd park near Streatham Common Station, plenty of free on street parking, right near the A23
